Biodiverse garden designer
Modern artists – Mark Rothko and Ben Nicholson – provided the inspiration for the plan of this biodiverse garden, tucked away on the edge of town. A bold, geometric ground plan, with a swathe of ornamental grasses provided the key structure to the space, around a large, mature willow tree.
Planting was carefully selected to thrive in the shade of the tree where necessary and to attract wildlife to the garden. Elsewhere Yorkstone crazy paving, re-purposed from the old patio, was used to create footpaths and features within areas of gravel next to a sunken fire-pit.
