A formal front garden

This front garden formed part of the Master Plan for the whole garden and needed to provide a characterful feeling of arrival to this detached property, whilst ensuring planning conditions within a Conservation Area were met.

The concept was to provide a traditional feel to the front of the house whilst ensuring the space was simple to maintain. Visitors now approach the front door from a central pathway which is framed with formal planting against the house, and a series of parterres, which subtly giveway to a more naturalistic planting by the front gate.
