A kitchen garden design

Following a successful planning application for a change of land use in proximity to a Grade II Listed farmhouse, we created a traditional English kitchen garden in East Yorkshire.

We designed the garden to provide a range of different spaces – from raised beds in the productive garden, to floral exuberance in front of the new Victorian-style glasshouse (with areas to sit and relax below wide arches reminiscent of Monet’s gardens at Giverny), as well as a small orchard and landform (which was created from the spoil removed for the foundations of the glasshouse). All of which was fenced to protect from rabbits.
